About
Philosophy
Learning to love herself and stay steady inside has been one of the greatest gifts Nancy has received from her yoga studies and practice. Yoga invites us to turn inward and with compassion accept what’s present. Sometimes turning to face inward and take off the blinders doesn’t always yield results we’re happy with, yet without this how can we honestly come to love ourselves, others or even life itself?
Yoga is a practice that keeps on giving when you provide your sustained effort and commitment and each aspect of the practice yields something worthwhile: Through the physical practices of yoga for example, Nancy has seen changes in her strength and stamina, enhanced body integration, better immunity, and resilience, to name a few. And the byproduct of her daily meditation practice has been an interior steadiness and clarity. This steadiness - like an anchor - is something that keeps her grounded amidst the ever-changing and sometimes wild landscape of life on the outside. Yep, that’s right: Life still happens! Yoga is not an easy escape from difficulties, challenges, or heartbreak, you just learn how to navigate rough waters with more skill and the bounce-back is a little quicker.
Teaching is a natural extension of who Nancy is and she is passionate about sharing a practice that she considers profoundly healing and a gateway to greater enjoyment and connectivity to life.
Teaching Style
Nancy’s class pacing is slow, steady, and mindful creating a practice that enhances sustainability and longevity. She skillfully weaves alignment-based, stair-stepped instruction with breath and an emphasis toward graceful and seamless transitions. In her classes your growth edge will expand but in a way that you get to calibrate. Nancy creates a learning environment that inspires, challenges and at the same time is welcoming and supportive. You’ll leave her class uplifted and grounded and ready for more.
Testimonials
“Can’t recommend 1:1 sessions with Nancy enough! She really takes the time to understand what’s going on with your body and tailors each session to help heal vs overextend. The 1:1 attention is especially helpful for keeping an eye on form. Nancy is so kind and encouraging - I leave every session in a state of bliss!”
“Inspiring, nurturing, renewing, comforting, connected”
“Working with Nancy is a true privilege. She can see the adjustments I need to make for my body, describe them to me, and help me feel the differences. One small shift helps me go so much more deeply into a pose. She's also great at suggesting new poses to incorporate into my practice that help me open up in different ways.”
“Challenging, supportive, unconditional acceptance, integrated mind and body evolution”
“I wholeheartedly recommend Nancy to anyone looking for a yoga teacher who is not only an expert but also a supportive mentor. Her dedication and genuine care for her students make her an exceptional guide on the journey of self-discovery and well-being.”

Spring Workshop: Awaken to Beauty
Wild Rose Yoga | Cle Elum, WA
https://www.wildroseyogi.com/eventsAs the first signs of spring emerge, we are reminded of beauty’s power to uplift, inspire, and reconnect us to what truly matters—connection, love, compassion, self-expression, and freedom. In a world filled with discord and distraction, beauty is not a luxury; it is essential. It elevates our consciousness, nourishes our hearts, and reminds us of our own resilience.
Yoga, at its core, is an artful practice. It is not about perfecting a pose but about embodying Shri—the radiance and auspiciousness that arise when we move with intention, presence, and reverence for our bodies. When we approach our practice with this awareness, we create something far beyond the physical. We make art.
In this workshop, we will explore a beautiful and expressive yoga pose as a way of reconnecting with our own inner artistry. Rather than pushing or forcing, we will cultivate skillful effort—allowing something exquisite to emerge from within. Through mindful movement, breath, and deep listening, we will awaken to the beauty within us and around us.
This is an invitation to step into the season of renewal by creating something stunning with your body, not for appearance’s sake, but for the bhavana—the deeply felt essence—of beauty itself. When we move in harmony with our inner truth, our hearts open, and our practice becomes a reflection of the art that lives within us.
Spend a Saturday afternoon this early March immersed in the joy of embodied expression. Let’s make beauty together. All Welcome.

Saturday, April 26th
1:00 - 4:00 pmInspired by Christina Sell’s Asana Junkies, this immersive led-practice provides a learning-lab wherein you get to explore a variety of poses done with safe alignment, and specific key actions. The aim is to practice intensely, be challenged, inspired, and get to know yourself more fully. This type of practice is a great opportunity to learn self-compassion no matter what is/what is not, achieved inside the practice session.
This is a unique format that connects the teacher and the student more closely as they get to practice with one another. Students receive in-the-moment insights, cueing and coaching from me which has a different flavor than when I am leading a class. Enjoy practicing in this in-depth way with your community. Develop stamina, strength and appreciation for your body.
Please be prepared to be fully responsible for modulating your own practice! Come with a light heart.

Anchor Into Your Worth: A Yoga & Wellness Retreat
Friday, June 6 - Sunday, June 8
Pebble Cover Farm | Orcas Islands, WAYoga helps us live a more conscious life—one that nurtures our well-being and deepens our connection to what truly matters. Through its many practices, and especially through asana (the physical practice), we access the part of ourselves that is unchanging, whole, and complete—our inherent worth.
As we move, we learn to adapt, creating better access to our bodies and our potential. We cultivate resilience, understanding that not yet does not mean never. And we remember that what we can or can’t do on the mat has no bearing on our self-worth. Yoga reminds us—again and again—that we are valuable, just as we are.
When we live from this place of deep self-connection, we make better choices. We stop wasting time on what isn’t meant for us. Yoga wakes us up—to ourselves, to our worth, and to the love that’s already here.
This weekend, give yourself the gift of stepping away from life’s daily demands. Unplug, get present, and anchor into your worth. From this grounded place, your imagination opens, your dreams expand, and you gain clarity on what you truly want.
